人工智慧(Artificial Intelligence)來了! 科技的進步超乎想像，十年前的人們很難想像十年後的現在，人們會創造出智慧手機、手錶、無人駕駛...等科技。它不像科幻電影中所知道的機器人，但它目前就在你、我的日常生活和工作，只要上網搜尋資料、購物、使用服務，或是打開手機使用 APP，我們就在和人工智慧互動。

你知道在美國只有 3% 的 AI 專長畢業生是女生？在台灣，AI 的討論才正在興起，相關教育與就業環境還沒真的準備好。我們為了要讓女生了解這也是很棒的科技職涯路，特別找了美國的 GIT 志工 Susana Craig 一起從 8/26 起，Girls in Tech Taiwan 舉辦一系列的 AI Web Series 活動，第一場邀請到 Elaine Lee 來用視訊分享 "設計怎麼讓 AI 更聰明"。Elaine Lee 目前在 eBay 帶領整個 ShopBot 的產品設計團隊。ShopBot 是一款用 AI 打造的購物聊天室。若想知道 Elaine Lee 怎麼設計 ShopBot，那身為 AI 迷的你或對 AI 的設計感到好奇的你，是一場決不能錯過的活動! Bio:

I'm currently leading product design for eBay ShopBot, a shopping chatbot that runs on AI. I started my design career as an advertising art director in NYC, moved into product design at startups big and small, and now at eBay (SF) building new products. Though I have studied art and design, I didn't go to art school nor design school. I have a background in psychology (BA) and advertising (MA), both of which I tap into every day in my design process.

Abstract

Designers can make AI smarter. Aware or not, many of us have been designing for a product that uses some level of artificial intelligence. Understanding that there are stages in AI, what they are, and where we’re at give us a sense of what to design into the AI to make it smarter.
